South Korean missile crashes during drill with US
The malfunctioning weapon landed inside an air force base and prompted fears of an incoming attack
A South Korean missile crashed down at a military installation in the country’s northeast during a joint show of force drill with the United States on Wednesday, held in retaliation for North Korea’s latest weapons test, which reached Japanese airspace.
Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff confirmed the incident, noting that a short-range Hyunmoo-2 ballistic missile encountered technical problems and fell out of the sky over the town of Gangneung, located some 56 miles (90 kilometers) from the border with North Korea. No casualties resulted from the crash, though a blast was reported at an air base in the town.
US risks ‘direct conflict’ with Russia over Ukraine – envoy
As Moscow’s envoy warned the UN, the Pentagon announced the list of new weapons for Kiev
Continued American deliveries of weapons, intelligence and even fighters to Ukraine are approaching the “dangerous line” of direct confrontation with Moscow, Russian diplomat Konstantin Vorontsov told the UN General Assembly on Tuesday. Shortly before that, the Pentagon announced the contents of another military shipment to Ukraine, valued at $625 million.
US deploys world’s most expensive military ship to Atlantic carrying 9000 troops
Today the US is deploying one of the world’s most advanced aircraft carriers to the Atlantic, complete with nuclear reactors and fighter jets. The USS Gerald R Ford is sailing from Virginia to the Atlantic Ocean and carrying a NATO strike group.
It’s unclear whether the launch is linked to the conflict in Ukraine but as the carrier cost the US more than $13billion (£11bn), the country’s navy is obviously keen to show it off.
City Of Kyiv In Ukraine Begins Handing Out Potassium Iodine Pills As Nuclear Threat From Putin In Russia Grows More Desperate And Quite Real
The city of Kyiv has said it is handing out potassium iodine pills to evacuation centers in preparation for a possible Russian nuclear strike on Ukraine capital.
Russia has been doing poorly since starting war-slash-conflict with Ukraine, so poorly in fact that one might be tempted to think Putin is taking a dive in his own war. Why would he do that? One reason might be because he’s really trying to bait the United States and NATO into it, the US has a foot-and-a-half in already, shouldn’t take too much more to seal the deal. Another reason might be because he’s just looking for an excuse to launch nuclear weapons. Sound crazy, you say? Yep, so crazy that the Ukraine city of Kyiv is at this moment handing our potassium iodide pills to its citizens they are anticipating will soon be living in bomb shelters.
EU to face unprecedented gas shortage – international watchdog
Rationing of fuel will be inevitable in case of a colder than average winter and lack of LNG
In the face of “unprecedented risks” to gas supplies this winter, the EU will have to reduce demand by up to 13%, the International Energy Agency (IEA) has said. As fears mount over a complete cutoff of gas deliveries from Russia, following a drop in supplies and the recent incident involving the Nord Stream pipelines, the IEA warns of long-term uncertainty. According to its quarterly gas market report published on Monday, gas consumption in Europe declined by more than 10% in the first eight months of the year, compared with the same period in 2021, “driven by a 15% drop in the industrial sector as factories curtailed production.”
The UN Demands All Central Banks Stop Rate Hikes And Switch To Price Controls Instead
New week. New month. New quarter. New brains. New trades. New hope. Or “New balls, please” as they say at Wimbledon.
I don’t have the physical energy to play tennis with markets on an every-other-day basis, sending a detailed volley back at those who think the Fed is about to pivot because of one bad datapoint. That doesn’t mean the UK government can’t though – they just did exactly that on tax cuts.
Central Banks Add Gold For Fifth Straight Month

Now That Twitter Belongs To Elon, Here Is What He Will Do To The Platform In His Own Words
Now that the dramatic, if pointless and expensive, interlude of Musk trying to sabotage his own (extremely overpriced) purchase of Twitter is finally over with Musk conceding to buy the social network at the original proposed price of $54.20.
So what's next? Will Musk keep Twitter as is, or will he burn it down, fire all its employees, and rebuild it from the ground up? Conveniently, Musk's Twitter-linked text messages, publicly released as part of the Twitter lawsuit legal disclosure, provide enough information for what Musk really wants in terms of a final product.

Researchers Are Building a Timeline of Documents That Influenced Governments’ Decisions Made in Response to the Covid Pandemic
Professor Carl Heneghan and Tom Jefferson are gathering documents, such as position statements or briefings, related to government responses to Covid.
The aim is to provide a permanent record of the documents used and produced to make decisions on the events surrounding the SARs-CoV-2 pandemic. So far, they have started a “Timeline” of these documents for the UK and have made enquiries about where these records can be found for Canada and USA.
“Over the coming months, we shall review some of these documents and explain the main issues,” the two researchers said.

The Great Reset: Planning the Theft of Canada?
What we now know as “The Great Reset” has been in the works for a while. I first learned of the Great Reset for Canada back in August 2019 when I had a chance dinner conversation with a senior officer in the Canadian military.
While waiting to load up our plates, I asked what he had been doing in Ottawa between stints with NGOs and embassies. He told me that he had been working on an advisory group to the Trudeau government. The agenda was not the development of five-year policies, the usual event horizon for a government, but to extend the vision into the further future, 20 to 40 years out.

Worst bird flu outbreak ever recorded sweeping across North America and Europe killing over 97.7 million birds
Did you know that we are in the middle of the worst bird flu outbreak ever recorded? Millions upon millions of birds have been dying, and most people don’t even realize that such a nightmarish pestilence has been absolutely devastating North America and Europe.
But what people do know is that eggs, chicken, and turkey just keep getting more expensive at the grocery store. In fact, supplies are starting to get so tight that some experts are now talking about the potential for “shortages” during the holiday season. Unfortunately, this epidemic isn’t going to go away any time soon.
I don't think you're perspective of Putin and the conflict is correct. Whilst it is hard to know why the Russian govt is pushing forward with the Corona madness and engaging with WEF his objectives and reasons for invading Ukraine appear legitimate. Clearly the US was involved in the govt overthrow in 2014 and the subsequent repression of ethnic Russians. As well as moving Ukraine toward NATO membership which would be a threat to Russian sovereignty.
Register this, US GOV; (delightful hand gesture).
