Moscow targeted by drones – media

At least three drones have reportedly been intercepted en route towards the Russian capital

Moscow was targeted in an attempted drone strike on Tuesday morning, according to an emergency services source cited by TASS news agency. Two incoming UAVs were downed on the outskirts of the city, while another was allegedly intercepted in the Kaluga region, southwest of the Russian capital.

“According to preliminary data, three drones were heading towards Moscow… Two were suppressed by radio electronic warfare means in New Moscow, and one in the Kaluga region,” the source told TASS.

NEW DELHI (Sputnik) - Iran has become a full-fledged member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), according to the New Delhi declaration of the SCO Heads of State Council published on Tuesday.

Iran signed a memorandum of commitment to obtain the status of an SCO member state at the previous SCO summit in Samarkand in September 2022.

"Member states stressed the historical significance of the admission of Iran to the SCO as a full member state," the declaration read.

The Palestinian leadership decided on Monday night to halt all contact and meetings with Israel and continue the suspension of security coordination between the Palestinian security forces and the Israeli security forces.

The Ramallah-based leadership also decided to limit its relationship with the US over Washington’s alleged failure to exert pressure on Israel. Back in March, the consumer group Which? said UK banks and building societies had closed, or announced the closure of, 5,498 branches since January 2015, at a rate of about 54 each month.

This month, 80 UK bank branches are set to close - including branches from NatWest, HSBC and Barclays.
