A cessation of hostilities in Ukraine ordered by President Vladimir Putin on the eve of Orthodox Christmas took effect on Friday morning. Russia intends to observe the truce for 36 hours, from 12:00 local time on January 6 until midnight on January 7.
The presidentâs ceasefire order was issued on Thursday after an appeal by Patriarch Kirill, the leader of the Russian Orthodox Church. âWe call upon the Ukrainian side to proclaim a cessation of hostilities and give them [Orthodox Christians] the opportunity to attend services on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day,â a Kremlin statement read.Â

Ukraineâs forces disregarded the Christmas ceasefire announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin by shelling a residential area in the city of Donetsk less than a minute after it took effect, according to the local authorities. The truce is supposed to last from noon on January 6 until midnight on January 7.
In a Telegram post on Friday, the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC), a monitoring group that tracks attacks on Russiaâs two Donbass regions, said that Kievâs forces had fired six 155mm shells targeting the Petrovsky District in the western part of the city. No casualties have been reported so far.

A 78-year-old man had part of his face chewed off during a gruesome attack in Portland, Oregon, where crime is soaring under Democratic leadership.
The 25-year-old assailant, Koryn Kraemer, attacked the victim early Tuesday at a train station in the suburb of Gresham and bit the elderly man so severely that police reported seeing his skull. When first responders arrived at the crime scene, they had to pull Kraemer off the victim's body.

I was pondering the ramifications of the 60âs sexual revolution only a few days ago and concluded that it has destroyed the possibilities for women and men for sex to be as in to make love vs sex as in fucking.
Rather than freeing women it made them into sex objects by others and themselves. Itâs mind boggling that what only âbadâ girls did in bed during my teenage years in the 1970âs is now the expectation. It has been disastrous for women.
And now to insult womanhood even more itâs being disappeared. As in men can give birth too. Interestingly the health services claim only men should check their prostrate. Perverted inverted hell on earth indeed.
