Russia publishes data on foreign mercenaries in Ukraine

400 foreign fighters remain trapped in Mariupol, where Kiev forces have refused an offer to surrender

Some 6,824 foreign mercenaries from 63 countries came to Ukraine to fight for Volodymyr Zelensky’s government, the Russian Defense Ministry stated on Sunday. Of these, 1,035 have been “destroyed,” while several thousand remain. Four hundred foreign fighters are holed up in Mariupol, where nationalist forces, including the neo-Nazi fighters, have refused to surrender.

The most numerous group of foreign fighters (1,717) arrived from Poland, while around 1,500 came from the US, Canada and Romania. Up to 300 people each came from the UK and Georgia, while 193 arrived from the Turkish-controlled areas of Syria. 

Zelensky Tells CNN Ukraine Ready to Fight Russia For 10 Years

Ukraine is ready to fight for its land for ten years, the country's president Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with CNN.

"We want to liberate our country, to take back what belongs to us. We may be fighting with the Russian Federation for 10 years to take back what is ours. We may choose this path," Zelensky said.

He urged the West to speed up arms deliveries to Ukraine. "We need the equipment today or tomorrow, not within two or three months," Zelensky explained.

Also, Zelensky's economic adviser Oleg Ustenko said in a televised comment on Sunday that Kiev has asked the Group of Seven (G7) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for $50 billion in financial assistance. He added that Ukraine has been also considering requesting a Special Drawing Rights loan from the IMF. According to Ustenko, Ukraine is currently losing about $7 billion a month, which adds up to roughly $50 billion over a six-month period.

Fledgling militia forces in Lugansk seized the Ukrainian Security Service building in the city, arming themselves en masse with weapons from its large armoury.

On Sunday, Marine Le Pen’s bid for the French presidency took a hit when European Union investigators accused her and her father of embezzling €620,000 (£513,000 & $670,000) for her political party, National Rally. In a week, Le Pen will face off against Emmanuel Macron for the presidency.

From 2004 to 2017, Le Pen, during her time as a Member of the European Parliament, is accused of illegally redirecting €137,000 of EU funds into her party's coffers.

Le Pen has also been under investigation for “breach of trust” and “misuse of public funds.” She allegedly used EU funds to pay for a personal bodyguard.

Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action Robert Habeck confirmed Russian assessments that Germany’s immediate cutoff of that country’s gas would provoke unrest in heart of that European leader.

He revealed in an interview that “An immediate embargo on [Russian natural] gas would threaten social peace in Germany”, though such a scenario is indeed seriously being considered due to the immense pressure being put upon the EU by its American overlords as of late.

Psychopath Zelensky Says the World Should ‘Get Ready’ for Nuclear War

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky has boasted that “all of the countries of the world” should begin preparing for a massive nuclear war that will likely wipe out humanity.

In a preview for an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Zelensky said that people should not be afraid of nuclear war – just ready.

On Thursday, CIA Director Bill Burns warned that the CIA is monitoring for the possibility of Russia using nukes “very intently.”

“The director of the CIA warned that he’s worried Putin might use a tactical nuclear weapon in this fight. Are you worried?” Tapper asked Zelensky.

Kiev Orders Azov Nazis to Shoot Those Surrendering at Azovstal, Russian MoD Says

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Kiev ordered the Ukrainian neo-Nazi battalion Azov to shoot those who choose to lay down their arms to the Russian military at the Azovstal plant in Mariupol, the Russian Defence Ministry Igor Konashenkov said on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, the Russian armed forces proposed that militants of nationalist battalions and foreign mercenaries, who had been surrounded and completely blockaded at the Azovstal metallurgical plant in Mariupol, stop all hostilities and lay down their arms, starting from 06:00 Moscow time [03:00 GMT] on 17 April, 2022.

The event, "Drag Queen Story Hour," which took place on April 9, was part of Oklahoma State University's Pride 2022 month.

A description for the event stated that Ami Rhetto and Olivia Lycan, two drag performers, would read books that highlight inclusion and acceptance.

"The books featured will be Red A Crayon's Story by Michael Hall and Speak Up by Miranda Paul," the description stated.
