The US president began his State of the Union speech with a rebuke of Russia’s attack on Ukraine
President Joe Biden has stated that Russia’s Vladimir Putin “badly miscalculated” by ordering a military invasion of its neighboring state, claiming he tried to “shake the very foundations of the free world.”
“Throughout our history we’ve learned this lesson – when dictators do not pay a price for their aggression, they cause more chaos,” Biden said at the opening of his State of the Union speech on Capitol Hill Tuesday night.
Russia claims responsibility for TV tower strike, takes control of major Ukrainian city
The city of Kherson has been fully seized by Russian forces, the Defense Ministry has claimed
Russian troops have seized Kherson, the provincial capital in the southern coastal part of Ukraine, the Defense Ministry said in a briefing on Wednesday. It also confirmed strikes on what it claimed to be part of Ukraine’s psyops infrastructure, including a TV tower in Kiev.
The ministry stated that civilian infrastructure in Kherson is operating normally, with no shortages of food or other items of necessity reported. It said the city’s government and Russian military were engaged in talks on how to ensure order and public safety in the area.

Mexico won’t be taking part in the international pile-on to sanction Russia over its invasion of Ukraine, as President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has said he seeks to keep his country on peaceful terms with all nations.
“We are not going to take any sort of economic retaliation because we want to maintain good relations with all the governments of the world,”Lopez Obrador told reporters on Tuesday. He added that remaining neutral will put Mexico in a position to “talk with the parties in conflict.”

Bonnie Henry says to expect COVID restrictions to return before she even drops them
Even before holdout province British Columbia has committed to dropping its vaccine passport and mask mandates, B.C.’s chief health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry is announcing that people should be prepared to see COVID restrictions return in the fall.

A report published by the Office for National Statistics on 20th Dec 21, on deaths by vaccination status in England inadvertently revealed that Covid-19 vaccinated children are up to 52 times more likely to die of any cause than unvaccinated children.
But the latest update from the ONS published 4th Feb 22, has failed to include any data on deaths among children whatsoever, suggesting authorities in the UK clearly have something to hide when it comes to the safety of children being given the Covid-19 vaccine.

Robert L. Briggs, president and CEO of American Bible Society, penned a commentary piece Thursday for Christianity Today, explaining how Christians in Ukraine are responding to the Russian crisis.
"As people grapple with unknown, many are experiencing the Bible's message for the first time ever," Briggs wrote. "According to [Anatoliy Raychynets, deputy general secretary of the Ukrainian Bible Society], priests and pastors over the past weeks have been flocking to the Bible Society store in Kyiv to buy Bibles."
The situation has been so intense the store reportedly ran out of Bibles, with Raychynets telling Briggs their biggest challenge is getting enough copies of scripture to meet the demand.
