Ukraine has 'crossed all lines' – DPR
DPR has requested additional forces from Russia following heavy shelling of Donetsk's residential areas by Ukrainian troops
The Donetsk Peoples’ Republic (DPR) is requesting additional “allied forces” to help in its fight against Ukrainian forces, its head, Denis Pushilin, outlined on Monday in a video address. The move comes amid reported heavy artillery shelling by Kiev of residential areas in Donetsk and other locations across the republic.
“The enemy has literally crossed all lines. Prohibited methods of warfare are being used. The residential areas and the central districts of the city of Donetsk are under artillery shelling, other cities and towns of the DPR are also under fire,” Pushilin stated.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has vowed to “liberate” the Russian territory of Crimea and the independent republics of Donetsk (DPR) and Lugansk (LPR). He was speaking just hours after reports of the Ukrainian military shelling residential buildings, a marketplace and a maternity hospital in the center of Donetsk.
“We will come to all our cities, to all our villages, which do not yet have our flag,” Zelensky boasted in a video address on Monday night, claiming that his army will defeat its Russian opponents in eastern Ukraine and recapture the cities of Mariupol, Kherson and Melitopol from Russian and DPR and LPR forces.

Four people were wounded after a settlement in Russia’s western Bryansk Region was hit, top local official claims
The village of Zaymishche in the Bryansk Region of Russia was shelled from Ukraine on Tuesday morning, Governor Aleksandr Bogomaz has said.
The settlement is located near the town of Klintsy, some 45km from the Ukrainian border.
According to preliminary information, the attack left four people wounded, Bogomaz wrote on Telegram, adding that the victims are being provided with all necessary medical assistance.
Several buildings in Zaymishche were also damaged in the shelling, the governor added

The Israeli government has issued a travel warning for Istanbul and raised its terrorism alert to the highest level after officials claimed to have shut down multiple Iranian attack plots targeting tourists.
Foreign Minister Yair Lapid announced the new advisory for the Turkish city on Monday, citing “a series of attempts at Iranian terrorist attacks against Israelis who went on vacation in Istanbul” in recent weeks.
“We are calling on Israelis not to fly to Istanbul, and if you have no vital need do not fly to Turkey. If you are already in Istanbul, return to Israel as soon as possible... No vacation is worth your life,”

New ‘Panther’ tank is destined to be “a game changer on the future battlefield,” according to its manufacturer
German arms giant Rheinmetall unveiled its new main battle tank at the major weapons exhibition in Paris on Monday. The vehicle comes under the ‘Panther’ nickname in an apparent nod to Nazi Germany’s iconic PzKpfw V medium tank.
The new tank boasts a new 130mm gun and is marketed as having “optimized sensor-to-shooter links,” heavily relying on digital systems to control the battlefield. While closely resembling the Leopard 2 family main battle tanks in its appearance, the Panther is a “radically new” tank “concept not constrained by yesterday’s technology,” Rheinmetall insists.

Coinbase lays off 18% of workforce as executives prepare for recession and ‘crypto winter’
Coinbase is laying off almost a fifth of its workforce amid a collapse in its stock and crypto prices.
The cryptocurrency exchange will cut 18% of full-time jobs, according to an email sent to employees Tuesday morning. Coinbase has roughly 5,000 full-time workers, translating to a headcount reduction of around 1,100 people.
Shares of Coinbase are down about 7% premarket.
CEO Brian Armstrong pointed to a possible recession, and a need to manage Coinbase’s burn rate and increase efficiency. He also said the company grew “too quickly” during a bull market.
