US launches expanded training for Ukrainian troops in Germany
The goal is for 500 soldiers to get to back to fighting Russia in five to eight weeks, General Mark Milley says
Washington kicked off its expanded training program for Ukrainian troops in Germany on Sunday, General Mark Milley, the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, has said.
“This support is really important for Ukraine to be able to defend itself,” Milley said on Monday, as quoted by AP. “And we’re hoping to be able to pull this together here in short order.”
Stoltenberg: ‘Crucial Phase’ of Ukraine Conflict Calls For Heavy Arms Supplies
BERLIN (Sputnik) - NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg believes that the West will boost its heavy hardware supplies to Ukraine in the near future.
"We are in a crucial phase of the war," Stoltenberg said in a Sunday interview with a German newspaper. "It is therefore important that we provide Ukraine with the weapons it needs to win," he added.

Fresh off the Russian armed forces declaring victory in the strategic Donetsk town of Soledar days ago, Russian President Vladimir Putin surprised officials in the West by touting the 'positive dynamic' of the Ukraine operation overall, despite the prior months of setbacks and a slower-going operation than Moscow expected.
He said in fresh weekend comments to Rossiya 1 state television when asked about the successful Soledar operation that "The dynamic is positive." He described that "Everything is developing within the framework of the plan of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff." Putin followed with, "And I hope that our fighters will please us even more with the results of their combat."
South Korea Now Openly Discussing Arming Itself With Nuclear Weapons
South Korea's president has said that his country might build nuclear weapons in response to the continuing buildup of similar weapons in North Korea. This is the most explicit announcement so far from Seoul that it’s actively considering nuclear weapons, although the disclosure is also very likely calculated to pressure the United States into giving Seoul a role in nuclear war planning on the peninsula, and perhaps also to redeploy U.S. tactical nuclear weapons to South Korea, the last of these having being withdrawn in 1991.

Multiple Young Athletes And Former Athletes Died Suddenly This Past Month
Former Alabama Broncos star running back Ahmaad Galloway died suddenly this week at age 42. Galloway was an eighth-grade English teacher at Compton-Drew Middle School in St. Louis, Missouri. When Galloway did not show up for work, the school contacted authorities. Police conducted a welfare check and found the former football star dead in his apartment. The cause of death has not yet been made public.
