A lightning offensive has crippled the Ukrainian military, Moscow claims
Russia has taken out Ukraine’s air defenses and airforce with a series of precision attacks, the country’s Defense Ministry has said in a statement, after airports and runways across the country were rocked by explosions.
Officials also claimed on Thursday morning that Ukrainian border guards are not resisting advancing Russian troops, who have moved in after President Vladimir Putin signed an order to begin a "special operation" in the Donbass. At the same time, officials denied claims made by Kiev's defense chiefs that Russia had lost at least one military plane over the country during the offensive.
In an earlier statement, Moscow reported that it was carrying out strikes at elements of Ukraine’s military infrastructure.
Fighting raging in Donbass – militia chief
Fierce fighting has broken out between Ukrainian forces and troops loyal to the breakaway republic of Donetsk, the spokesman for the separatist region’s militia has announced on Thursday morning.
In a statement, Eduard Basurin said that "the armed forces of the Donetsk People's Republic are attacking the positions of the the Ukrainian army along the entire line of contact, using every means of destruction available to them," he said.
Earlier the same morning, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced it had begun strikes against military targets across Ukraine, with explosions heard in major cities.

Ukrainian soldiers are abandoning their positions in the face of a Russian offensive, Moscow has asserted, while also claiming that its armed forces are not striking cities and pose "no threat" to civilians.
In a statement issued on Thursday morning, defense officials said that “intelligence shows that units of the Ukrainian army and servicemen are leaving their posts en masse, laying down their weapons.” No direct evidence has been presented to substantiate the statement.

Ukraine’s president should relocate to Lviv amid threat of Russian invasion, Washington says
With fears of a Russian invasion continuing to increase, Kiev and Washington have begun liaising over plans to move Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the city of Lviv in the west of the country, NBC News reported on Monday.
Citing two anonymous sources “familiar with the discussions,” it said members of the Biden administration had held discussions about the possibility of Zelensky’s relocation to Ukraine’s second city, located 50 miles from the Polish border, in case of an invasion by the Russian military.

Dow futures drop 700 points after Russia attacks Ukraine
U.S. stock futures fell sharply early Thursday as Russia attacked Ukraine.
Dow futures fell 720 points, or 2.19%, while futures tied to the S&P 500 were down 2.26%. Nasdaq 100 futures declined 2.73%.
Meanwhile, oil prices popped, with West Texas Intermediate futures trading 5.29% higher at $96.97 per barrel. Global benchmark Brent jumped 5.39% to $102.06 per barrel, passing the $100 level for the first time since 2014.

Adopting a sardonic tone, he then declared “I mean it’s got to be tough, you know, you have to wear pants. I mean this is tough stuff, these societies are so cruel, why do they make you wear pants? I’m trying to figure it out.”

A federal judge in Georgia has temporarily allowed an Air Force officer to remain unvaccinated against COVID over the vaccine's 'connection to abortion,' making her the first member of the branch to be excused from the military-wide mandate.
U.S. District Court Judge Tillman E. Self III on Tuesday granted a preliminary injunction for the unnamed Air Force Reserve officer, according to court documents obtained by DailyMail.com.
The judge's order described the Air Force's procedure to accept a low rate of religion-based coronavirus vaccine exemptions as 'illusory and insincere.'
Judge Self, who is based in Macon, Georgia, ruled that the Air Force had infringed on the officer's First Amendment rights when the internal review process rejected her initial filing. She completed a religion-based waiver last year and appealed the Air Force's rejection in December.

Triple “Vaccinated” Deaths Skyrocketed 495% in January; 80% of All New Covid Cases Are Fully Jabbed
The plandemic of the “fully vaccinated” rages on as the latest data shows that the vast majority of hospitalizations and deaths from the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) are occurring in people who took the jabs.
Public Health Scotland (PHS) is reporting that an astounding four out of every five covid hospitalizations and deaths are jabbed, meaning only 20 percent of hospitalizations and deaths blamed on covid are occurring in the unvaccinated.
According to the figures, cases were down overall in February compared to January. However, the bulk is still comprised of fully vaccinated individuals, including the triple-vaccinated.

9,000-year-old ritual complex found in Jordan desert
Amman (AFP) – Archaeologists deep in the Jordanian desert have discovered a 9,000-year-old ritualistic complex near what is thought to be the earliest known large human-built structure worldwide.
The Stone Age shrine site, excavated last year, was used by gazelle hunters and features carved stone figures, an altar and a miniature model of a large-scale hunting trap.
The giant game traps the model represents -- so-called "desert kites" -- were made of long walls that converge to corral running gazelles into enclosures or holes for slaughter.
Similar structures of two or more stone walls, some several kilometres (miles) long, have been found in deserts across Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey and Kazakhstan.
