A suicide bomber detonated his vest around the corner from the main gate of the Russian embassy, apparently targeting locals queuing for visas, according to the local media.
The death toll has reached 25, with many more injured, according to the news network Al Jazeera.

John Sullivan has left Russia after almost three years as US ambassador, the diplomatic mission in Moscow announced on Sunday.
“US Ambassador to the Russian Federation John J. Sullivan has concluded his tenure as US envoy and departed Moscow today,” it said in a statement.
Sullivan, whose career “has spanned four decades and five US presidents,” is now set to retire.

A number of Estonian companies have applied for a temporarily exemption from the EU’s anti-Russia sanctions, state broadcaster ERR reported on Wednesday, citing the Estonian Foreign Ministry.
According to the report, the ministry made public a list of 28 companies that wish to continue importing oil products from Russia, despite sanctions forcing them to terminate existing contracts with Russian oil companies by October 10. The list includes oil trader Trafigura and Estonian state railroad company Operail.

REGINA, Saskatchewan — A series of stabbings in two communities in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan left 10 people dead and 15 wounded, authorities said Sunday. Police are looking for two suspects.
The stabbings took place in multiple locations on the James Smith Cree Nation and in the village of Weldon, northeast of Saskatoon, police said.

Though the posts were made while she was in the UK, el-Shabab was nonetheless reported through the “Kollona Amn” app and immediately arrested upon returning home.

Germans are feeling more frugal than at any point in the last decade, according to a survey by GfK. It found that consumers are putting aside any spare cash in anticipation of much higher energy bills.

Gfk's consumer barometer saw a surprising drop of 5.6 points in July to -36.5.

Berkeley orders all students who refuse to get vaccinated for the FLU to wear a mask

The new rule came via an online landing page for “Berkeley Coronavirus,” which states that masks are “strongly recommended, but not required” indoors – except for students who have not been injected with a flu shot, who are mandated to veil their faces.
