Sustaining the conflict in Ukraine is becoming increasingly difficult for NATO, so Kiev must think about negotiating with Moscow, retired US Army brigadier general Mark T. Kimmitt has said in an opinion piece for the Wall Street Journal.
Washington’s latest military aid package to Kiev last month included “older and less advanced” systems, which “may indicate that battlefield consumption rates have outpaced production to a point where excess inventories provided to Ukraine are nearly exhausted,” Kimmitt pointed out in his article on Thursday.

Pope Francis launched an overhaul of the Knights of Malta, a global humanitarian group and major Catholic religious order, dissolving its leadership on Saturday. The Pontiff also issued a new constitution of the order and installed a provisional government for it.
The overhaul comes after years of heated debate over the future of the group, officially known as Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta. Established nearly 1,000 years ago in Jerusalem, once a religious military order, it has evolved into a humanitarian group, active worldwide and running such institutions as clinics and refugee camps.

Tens of thousands of protesters gathered in central Prague on Saturday for a march dubbed ‘Czech Republic First,’ urging the government to resign over soaring energy prices and inflation, and to drop anti-Russia sanctions.
According to police estimates, some 70,000 took part in the rally, with the organizers putting the figure at 100,000. The event brought together people from across the political spectrum, with the Communist Party and right-wing Freedom and Direct Democracy Party taking part.
“The aim of our demonstration is to demand change, mainly in solving the issue of energy prices, especially electricity and gas, which will destroy our economy this autumn,” one of the event’s co-organizers, social democrat Jiri Havel, told local media.

Bloomberg quoted consulting firm MWPVL International Inc. saying that Amazon will not open 42 facilities spread across 25 million square feet of usable space.
According to MWPVL, the company has also delayed opening an additional 21 locations, making up about 28 million square feet.

It is always about eating bugs, drinking sewage water, giving up guns, avoiding the use of vehicles, making do with less, etc. Even Fidel exhorted his people to grow food in their yards when Cuba faced a food crisis. We are told to just roll over and think of the climate while biting the pillow. For a decade.
But there was some good news about IVM out in the open plains of Twitter. Imagine the lawsuits from the families of those deprived of life-saving medications! There was ample evidence over 2 years ago that it could help. How many died as a result?
