US getting progressively weaker – Iran
Tehran must be ready to “take advantage” of the shift in global power, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said in a speech to officials
The US is no longer the power it once was, and has failed to rally the Arab world against Iran and curtail its nuclear program, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said in a speech to senior officials on Tuesday.
“Facts show that America was weaker under Obama’s administration than Bush’s administration. The US was weaker under Trump’s administration than the way it was under Obama’s administration. The US is weaker under [Joe Biden’s] administration than it was under Trump’s administration,” Khamenei proclaimed, according to Iran’s Tasnim news agency.
Saudi Arabia Now Leading Regional Embrace Of Assad
It's being widely reported that Saudi Arabia is pushing for a regional embrace of Syria's President Bashar al-Assad, more than a decade after Syria was booted from the Arab League due to the conflict which burned starting in 2011, chiefly for Damascus' anti-demonstration crackdown.
Reuters first reported this week that Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan is planning to extend a formal invitation for Assad to attend an Arab League summit in Riyadh, planned for May 19. This will reportedly take place in person as bin Farhan is expected to soon travel to Damascus. Bloomberg is calling this a "win for Iran".

Great Replacement: European Parliament Votes to to Import Millions of Migrants
“The European Parliament has now voted to import millions of migrants, a decision that the vast majority of citizens in the member states firmly oppose. This is both a disregard for democracy and a monstrous betrayal of ordinary people.”
The EU Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice, and Home Affairs voted on the provisions of the new EU migration pact this week. Some voting lists were not circulated until late in the evening the day before the vote, some even a few hours before it. The session was correspondingly chaotic, with MEPs barely able to determine what they were voting on.

JP Morgan CEO calls for redistribution of wealth
Jamie Dimon suggested governments seize private lands to build wind and solar farms so as to meet climate goals
JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon has urged governments to seize private property in order to build renewable energy infrastructure, arguing that allowing the market to evolve organically will leave humanity with few options in the face of accelerating climate change.
Warning that “the window for action to avert the costliest impacts of global climate change is closing,” the bank executive called for “permitting reforms” in his annual letter to shareholders on Tuesday, arguing “we simply are not getting the adequate investments fast enough for grid, solar, wind, and pipeline initiatives.”

To deal with the next pandemic, the FDA needs an Office of Preparedness and Response
New evidence of the spillover of the avian flu virus, known as H5N1, to some mammals is again raising alarm bells, though for experts familiar with the virus, “none of them ever stopped worrying about H5N1.”
The recent death of a Cambodian girl from bird flu is a reminder that much is at stake. If H5N1 were to cross over to humans and ignite another pandemic, could the United States do it all over again? Could it get to a vaccine in just eight months, as with Covid-19? Does the country have the capabilities and resilience to do so?

U.S. Crops Are Being Absolutely Devastated By Nightmarish Disasters From Coast To Coast
I honestly did not know that things were this bad. Severe drought is crippling winter wheat production in the middle of the country, agricultural production in many areas of California is being hit extremely hard by unprecedented flooding, and orange production in Florida is down more than 60 percent from last season due to a combination of factors.
Of course, this comes at a time when the entire world is dealing with a major food crisis. As I discussed in a previous article, even CNN is admitting that we are currently in the midst of “the worst food crisis in modern history”.
