Russia issues calls to other nuclear powers
The rest of the big five need to match Moscow’s commitment to avoiding nuclear war, the Foreign Ministry insists
Moscow is “strictly and consistently” guided by the principle that a nuclear war can never be won and should never be fought, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday, calling on other atomic powers to “demonstrate in practice” their own commitment to this.
“We firmly believe that in the current difficult and turbulent situation, a result of irresponsible and shameless actions aimed at undermining our national security, the first priority is to prevent any military clash of nuclear powers,” the ministry said.
US forces now on the ground in Ukraine
U.S. military personnel are now on the ground in Ukraine, keeping track of and inspecting weapons the U.S. has shipped to Ukrainian forces, a senior defense official announced during a Pentagon background briefing on Monday. These U.S. personnel are some of the first the Pentagon has acknowledged have entered Ukraine since Russia launched its large scale invasion of the country in February.
The senior defense official who spoke on background during an official Pentagon event, said, “U.S. personnel have recently resumed on-site inspections to assess weapon stocks in country whenever and wherever the security conditions allow.” The official said “the return of our defense attaché and Office of Defense Cooperation personnel in country has allowed us to resume this critical function.”
Russia To Present 'Evidence' UK Special Forces Behind Crimea Attacks
Moscow says it has firm evidence that Britain's military assisted with last weekend's large-scale drone attack on its Black Sea fleet off Crimea.
Russia said it plans to summon the British ambassador "in the near future" in order to present "evidence" the UK was behind the operation, which had threatened to collapse the UN-brokered Ukrainian grain export deal.
While Russia has on Wednesday announced it is re-entering the grain deal after receiving "guarantees" from Ukraine and Turkey, it is still pointing the finger at London for sending "specialists" to help Kiev forces launch Saturday's drone attack.

The UN Security Council has rejected Russia’s call for an international investigation into claims that the US used laboratories in Ukraine to develop biological weapons.
While China backed Russia’s proposal, the US, Britain, and France voted against it, and the ten rotating council members abstained.

North Korea has launched an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) as part of a large-scale show of force against the ongoing war games between the US and South Korea, according to Seoul’s armed forces.
The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff said the military detected “what is presumed to be a long-range ballistic missile launch from the Sunan area in Pyongyang” early on Thursday morning, noting that two additional short-range missiles followed about one hour later.

More than £1.3 trillion has been wiped off the value of UK bonds since the start of 2022 following a major sell-off across bond markets, according to new figures.
Just over £882bn has been wiped off the value of Gilts and Index-linked Gilts, which have fallen 26.4 per cent and 36.2 per cent respectively in the year to date.
In addition, the value of UK corporate bonds has fallen by £514.5bn since the beginning of the year, asset manager Collidr shared with City A.M.

In such a scenario, the government will provide citizens with food, water, and shelter if power blackouts last more than several days.

A.P. Moller-Maersk A/S, the world's largest owner of container ships and one of the best bellwethers for global trade, lowered its outlook for the growth of 2022 global container demand and warned next year could be worse.
Maersk's warning about a slowdown in container demand and economic turmoil ahead was conveyed in a third-quarter earnings report released today and in an interview by the company's top executive on Bloomberg.
The Copenhagen-based company lowered its outlook for the growth of 2022 global container demand to decline 2-4% from the previous estimate of plus or minus 1%. The forecast sent Maersk's shares tumbling nearly 6%.

Beijing: In what can come as a huge embarrassment for President Xi Jinping, a Chinese National Health Commission (NHC) document showed that the Chinese COVID-19 vaccines had caused leukaemia, a report stated.

A new survey by the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University found that fewer people are taking their traditional moral values from biblical principles.
“The America’s Values Study” found that 71 percent of American adults claim to support traditional moral values today, including integrity, justice, kindness, non-discrimination, trustworthiness, free expression, property ownership, individual growth and self-control.
However, less than half of adults who hold to those values consider biblical morality a core value.

Generation Z is less open-minded and more intolerant than older generations, according to a recently released study by the left-leaning British media outlet
