Pure Communism – Ottawa Mayor Wants To SELL Confiscated Freedom Convoy Trucks (Video)
Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson has hailed the police crackdown on Freedom Convoy anti-warrant protesters in the Canadian capital.
After the protests ended, he told state media that trucks, trailers, and vehicles seized from protesters should be sold, saying Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s controversial emergency powers allowed him to do so.
As of Saturday, police had towed 53 vehicles from downtown streets since the movement began Friday to remove them, some of which had been occupying the area for three full weeks.
The C.D.C. Isn’t Publishing Large Portions of the Covid Data It Collects
The agency has withheld critical data on boosters, hospitalizations and, until recently, wastewater analyses.
For more than a year, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has collected data on hospitalizations for Covid-19 in the United States and broken it down by age, race and vaccination status. But it has not made most of the information public.
When the C.D.C. published the first significant data on the effectiveness of boosters in adults younger than 65 two weeks ago, it left out the numbers for a huge portion of that population: 18- to 49-year-olds, the group least likely to benefit from extra shots, because the first two doses already left them well-protected.
The agency recently debuted a dashboard of wastewater data on its website that will be updated daily and might provide early signals of an oncoming surge of Covid cases. Some states and localities had been sharing wastewater information with the agency since the start of the pandemic, but it had never before released those findings.
Two full years into the pandemic, the agency leading the country’s response to the public health emergency has published only a tiny fraction of the data it has collected, several people familiar with the data said.

Canada Moves To Make Asset Freezing Under Emergencies Act Permanent
Canada has moved to make the asset freezing part of its Emergencies Act, which was used to target supporters of the Freedom Convoy protests, a permanent fixture.
Wow, who saw that one coming?
In order to stop what the Trudeau regime referred to as “illegal blockades,” the government threatened to freeze the bank accounts of demonstrators and anyone who donated money to them.
Under the Emergencies Act, bank are required to freeze accounts without a court order, while all crowdfunding platforms and payment providers are mandated to provide information to FINTRAC (Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada).
Biden Extends US National Emergency Over COVID-19
President Joe Biden said the U.S. national emergency that was declared in early 2020 due to COVID-19 will be extended beyond March 1, citing what he called a “risk to the public health and safety.”
In a letter released on the White House website, Biden told House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) that “there remains a need to continue this national emergency.”
“The COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause significant risk to the public health and safety of the Nation. More than 900,000 people in this Nation have perished from the disease, and it is essential to continue to combat and respond to COVID-19 with the full capacity and capability of the Federal Government,” he wrote, adding that his office has “determined that it is necessary to continue the national emergency declared” almost two years ago.
As of late last year, data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Johns Hopkins University showed that there were 60,000 more COVID-19 deaths under the Biden administration than under the Trump administration.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the FDA is weighing authorizing a SECOND Covid booster shot in the fall – that means FOUR doses of the mRNA vaccine within a 2-year span.
U.S. health regulators are looking at potentially authorizing a fourth dose of a Covid-19 vaccine in the fall, according to people familiar with the matter.
The planning is still in early stages, and authorization would depend on ongoing studies establishing that a fourth dose would shore up people’s molecular defenses that waned after their first booster and reduce their risk of symptomatic and severe disease, the people said.

Russia closes airspace over Sea of Azov starting at midnight
Independent trackers reported that a number of Russian naval vessels entered the Sea of Azov as well on Sunday.
Russia's Aeronautical Information Center issued a NOTAM (a Notice to Airmen) on Sunday which will close most of the airspace over the Sea of Azov starting at midnight between Sunday and Monday, as the US continued to warn that Russia intends to invade Ukraine.

Russia-Belarus Drills Near Ukraine Border Are Being Extended
Russia and Belarus will extend their biggest joint military drills in years, the Belarusian Defense Ministry said, as frictions spike with the West over Russia’s military buildup near the Ukraine border.
The training exercises were scheduled to finish on Sunday and Russia had said it would return its troops to their bases afterward. While those drills are in Belarus, which is north of Ukraine, the defense ministry statement cited the deteriorating situation in eastern Ukraine for the extension. It also referred to increased military activity along the borders of Russia and Belarus, a likely reference to NATO’s recent deployment of more troops eastward.
Bird flu outbreak continues to spread in North America
Cases of Eurasian H5 Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) were detected in domestic flocks in New York and Indiana in recent days, as the bird flu continues to spread in North America and around the world.
A small, non-commercial backyard flock in Suffolk County, New York, tested positive for HPAI on Saturday. The flock, consisting of eight birds, will be euthanized to prevent the spread of the virus and will not enter the food system.
The New York Department of Agriculture encouraged poultry producers to take extra steps to protect flocks and called for poultry’s outdoor access to be limited. Additionally, another outbreak of Eurasian H5 HPAI was detected in a commercial flock of turkeys in Indiana, the fourth such outbreak in the state this season. In total, 118,673 commercial turkeys have been affected by the virus in Indiana this season.
