Instead, they use a paralyzing drug so that the victim can't move and so they look very peaceful laying there. Then they give something else that causes the person to drown in their body fluids and that can go on for several very long minutes. It has been compared to being waterboarded to death.
They also don't allow any cardiac or other monitoring devices that would be the only way to show that the person is actually in distress.
Another thing to note is that organs aren't viable if they are taken from a cadaver, hence the invention of "brain death". If the person is paralyzed and somebody needs their kidney; and the doctor deems them brain dead... well some things are better not to think about.

I somewhat sarcastically agreed with her. My 43 years of paying into the system were not enough, and I should consider looking forward to the implementation of 'Plan 75' ... now, just a movie ... but based on folklore (The Ballad of Narayama) and a possible example of predictive programming.
Within hours, her comment had gained over 190 upvotes, and my own comment was taken at face value, no sarcasm seen, and upvoted to 7.

Instead, doctors actively push it now. In the last year of my husband's life MAID was brought up to him 3 times while I was with him and I have no idea of how often they did while I wasn't there, but he told me he was afraid that they wanted to kill him.
The first time was at an initial visit to a specialist while he was still home and able to get around. We were absolutely shocked and never went back to that doctor. Two different doctors brought it up when he was admitted in the hospital. Most distressing was the third time when a hospital doctor stated that it was on his chart that he asked for MAID. When we protested that he most certainly did not, she backtracked immediately and changed the subject.
I've since heard more stories of seniors being accosted by doctors while laying in ER. There are a lot of seniors who don't have advocates with them when they're in the medical system and they're vulnerable to coercion.
