If the Emergencies Act is denied, there's a hundred other laws they can use to harass and ignore the protesters. It won't redeem the truckers, and it won't change the prevailing support of Canadians for their authoritarian government. It doesn't seem enough Canadians want relief. They seem to prefer safety, not liberty. Too bad they won't get either. The bigger question is whether sentiment is any different south of the border.
