The head prosecuting attorney was ( conveniently & suspiciously) sent to prison, a week before this trial began. No charges filed, and no contact with his family.
Also, professor Francis Boyle, an international law expert who had agreed to testify — never made it. His sudden and mysterious death, shortly after confirming his participation, is now another chilling shadow over the proceedings.
Hopefully the judge can stay alive, along with our expert U.S. witnesses, and have the courage to give these victims their voice in court. The judge will also be allowed to formally indict for criminal charges, if she decides that the evidence is solid. ( very different than the U.S. courts)
They have the best 4 witnesses ready to testify. The attorney that took over for main attorney, is doing a brilliant job, according to people watching in the courtroom.
Courtroom is at full capacity, and extra rooms are being made available with live videos from the trial.
The media in the Netherlands, E.U., and of course U.S., are silent about this important civil trial.
